This optical table is designed and manufactured for the Protein Crystallography Beamline PXIII at Swiss Light Source.

This optical table consists of the table and a detector unit on its top. The table has two degrees of freedom, elevation (Y-axis) and pitch rotation (rotation around X-axis). They are realized by two independent elevation axes (Y1 Y2) and hinge mechanism.

On top of the table, there is a detector unit. The unit consists of a long travel translation Z table along the beam direction and a vertical translation Y stage. The long Z translation will be used for changing the distance between a sample and a detector. Both of two motions are equipped with linear incremental encoders with home reference position for accurate position read-out and case of power failure.
